Fuel tax credits can be claimed if you are using a heavy vehicle travelling on a public road. If there is an auxiliary equipment fitted on your heavy vehicle, you will need to work out the amount of fuel you use for travelling on a public road and the amount of fuel you use to power the auxiliary equipment so that the correct fuel tax credits rate can be applied.
